At least twenty-fiver percent of adults suffer from insomnia, and I am hoping to learn what it is like to be an insomniac. To do that, one must understand what exactly is insomnia. Insomnia is basically the difficulty to fall asleep or remain asleep. There are also many causes to go along with it. Some include, stress or anxiety, stimulants like drugs or caffeine, pain, and the list goes on. Now, many people think of insomnia as just getting no sleep, but there are actually three different types; one is transient insomnia, which lasts for less than a week, acute insomnia, less than a month, and chronic insomnia which lasts a month or longer. All of these types have their own set of characteristics that worsen as one gets closer to becoming a chronic insomniac.
